Whenever finished with a sketchbook, I like to draw them funerals.
I’ve been doing this for a couple years. It seems to be the most proper way to end the books.
The imagery is almost identical in each book. A tombstone, maybe a coffin. Some characters or embellishments some times.
This was from my first complete spiral bound sketchbook.
As a short sketchbook, it didn’t feel like it deserved to be buried quite yet. Instead, I drew a kid on a sled.
I kept a few sketchbooks while working on my senior thesis, but they weren’t as personal.
This is the end page of my latest sketchbook–finished last night, around 3:00am.
